Notes

Born in 1849 to a prominent family in New London, Rusk Co., TX, she moved with her husband to Ben Wheeler after their marriage in 1871. She remained in the Ennis area with her children after her husband's death in 1890 and died there herself in 1929. She is also buried in Myrtle Cemetery. Mary had a brother R.L. Belcher, who was a doctor, but we do not know where he lived and practiced.
